Nature’s Beauty Closet Senegalese Black Soap is made using all natural ingredients, by women in a time honored traditional process. Each woman has her own special touch for making her black soap. The base is the ash of indigenous plants such as plantain, cocoa pods, palm tree leaves, and shea tree bark. The leaves and bark are sun-dried and then slow roasted, before water and oils are added. The care in roasting and which oils are added is where the special touch comes in.
